SpaceX Super Intelligence folds Grok, Cursor and X Premium into one plan

The company now known as SpaceX Super Intelligence is combining X Premium, Grok, and Cursor into a single plan called "The X Subscription," in a bid to attract more subscribers.

SpaceX Super Intelligence, as the company is now known, is bundling its subscriptions — X Premium, Grok, and Cursor — into one plan it’s calling simply “The X Subscription.” The idea is that a combined offering could draw more subscribers than any single subscription on its own, in a paid AI subscription market where SpaceXSI competes with rivals including OpenAI and Anthropic.

With The X Subscription, users get access to Grok for AI-powered chat, with support for voice, images, video, and the API; Grok’s agentic AI Bot is also included, as is Cursor for AI coding and the paid features that come with an X Premium subscription, such as the blue verified checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads.

The new subscription offers five plans: free, Plus ($8/month), Premium ($30/month), Super ($100/month), and Ultra ($200/month), with AI usage caps increasing at each tier up. The free plan only offers limited chat and agent usage, and Premium or higher is required to access the latest Grok models.

There’s also an incentive for existing X Premium+ subscribers: the company said the comparable plan on the new X Subscription costs the same or less. Existing users can switch from their subscription settings on X to upgrade to the new bundle, or keep their current plan; the option to upgrade will roll out gradually, so customers interested in it will need to watch their billing settings for the offer to appear.

Why it matters

Bundling a paid chatbot, a coding assistant, and a social-platform subscription into one price ladder is a bet that convenience beats best-of-breed pricing — a different approach than rivals like OpenAI and Anthropic, which sell their AI products largely on their own.
