Privacy policy
You can read every Technopolis story without an account. We collect only what we need to run the site, understand what readers find useful, and send the newsletter to people who ask for it.
What we collect
- When you read the site. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which stories are read, and LogRocket to see how readers move through pages (clicks, scrolling, and navigation) so we can fix what is hard to use. LogRocket does not record what you type into forms. Both set cookies and receive standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, and the page that sent you here.
- Hosting. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. It processes the same technical data to serve pages and protect the site from abuse, and gives us visit statistics that use no cookies.
- When you subscribe to the newsletter. We store your email address, the edition you chose (English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic), and when you signed up, on a server we operate. We use it only to send you the newsletter.
- When you search. Site search is provided by Google. What you type in the search box goes to Google, which may set its own cookies and show ads next to the results. Google's privacy policy covers that feature.
- When you email us. We keep your message and address so we can reply.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- We don't ask you to create an account or log in.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; every story still works without them. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
To unsubscribe from the newsletter, to ask what data we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to ops@technopolis.news.
Where data goes
Google, LogRocket, and Cloudflare process data for the purposes above, and that processing may take place outside your country. Technopolis is written for professionals and is not directed at children.
