On Wednesday, Harvey, a developer of technology applied to the legal industry, officially confirmed the closure of its latest funding round. The company confirmed that it secured $200 million in this new round, bringing its valuation to $11 billion. This official announcement from the company follows reports that circulated last month, which had indicated that Harvey was in the process of working on another monster funding round.

The newly closed funding round was co-led by Singapore-based GIC and Sequoia. In addition to the co-lead investors, a group of the company’s existing backers also participated in the round. The list of participating investors includes:

  • Andreessen Horowitz
  • Coatue
  • Conviction Partners
  • Elad Gil
  • Evantic
  • Kleiner Perkins

Following the completion of this latest round, Harvey has now raised more than $1 billion in total funding. This new valuation of $11 billion represents a significant jump, as the company’s valuation has increased over 3.5x in a single year. This rapid increase is reflected in the company’s previous valuation figures over the past year:

  • In December, the company announced a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz that valued the business at $8 billion.
  • Prior to that, in June, it announced a round led by Kleiner Perkins and Coatue that valued it at $5 billion.
  • In February 2025, the company announced a Sequoia-led raise that valued it at $3 billion.

With this latest transaction, Sequoia has now co-led three of Harvey’s funding rounds since the company’s Series A round. In a press release, Sequoia partner Pat Grady acknowledged that the firm’s decision to co-lead three separate rounds since the Series A was an “unusually large show of faith” for the venture capital firm. Reflecting on the company’s rapid trajectory, Winston Weinberg, the founder and CEO of Harvey, previously characterized the company’s growth as a wild ride.

Why it matters

Harvey’s rapid valuation jump—over 3.5x in a single year—underscores the massive investor appetite for technology applied to the legal industry, even as the company continues to secure monster rounds of capital.
